Who is winning the SEO wars for property search?

While doing some research on Property Portal mapping I got a little curious on who is winning the SEO war in regards to property search. I took two addresses one from the state of Washington and the other in the state of California and ran them through the top 3 search engines. Below is the results and in what order they came up.

Property #1 3430 Ne Garfield St Camas, WA (Not currently on the market)

Google Results
  1. Zillow.com
  2. Trulia.com
  3. Redfin.com
  4. Movoto.com
  5. Estately.com
Bing Results
  1. Zillow.com
  2. Realtor.com
  3. Realtor.com (Again)
  4. Zillow.com (Again)
  5. CBBain.com
  6. Redfin.com
Yahoo Results
  1. Zillow.com
  2. Realtor.com
  3. Realtor.com (Again)
  4. Zillow.com
  5. CBBain.com
  6. Redfin.com
Property #2 25482 Buckwood Lake Forest, CA (Not currently on the market)

Google
  1. Zillow.com
  2. Redfin.com
  3. Movoto.com
  4. Realestate.aol.com
  5. Realtor.com
Bing
  1. Zillow.com
  2. Zillow.com (Again)
  3. Redfin.com
  4. Miss hit on Property
  5. Miss hit on Property
  6. Miss hit on Property
Yahoo
  1. Zillow.com
  2. Miss hit on Property
  3. Miss hit on Property
  4. Miss hit on Property
  5. Miss hit on Property
  6. Miss hit on Property
A couple of items to note
  1. Google is better at locating properties
  2. Zillow is number 1 for both properties in all three search engines
  3. I am a bit surprised that Trulia did not come out better then they did although the results might be a bit different if I searched for properties that are currently on the market
As you can see the war to capture consumers is on and winning the SEO wars is a battle that cannot be lost.

  1. Was incidentally looking at the click stream for Trulia (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/trulia.com).

Note Google being immediately before and after a user visits Trulia. Goes inline with your thoughts on SEO being extremely important to these sites.
